Cabin Baggage

The standard guidelines permit only one piece of cabin baggage on board weighing not more than 7 kgs. You may take additional items in the cabin (subject to security regulations):

Check-in baggage

As per standard guidelines, passengers are permitted to carry 15 kgs /30 kgs baggage when they travel on a domestic or international sector respectively. For domestic varies for Air India flight, for international sector there 23 kg concepts also per pc for Europe & US sectors.

Please Note :

The cabin/check – in baggage allowance may vary from airline to airline; hence we recommend that you consult the concerned airline for more information.

Please check the information concerning the carriage & prohibited items on board.

Post issuance of the boarding pass, passengers may then proceed for security screening.
For further clarification regarding carrying any item onboard, whether in hand bags or checked in bags, passengers are requested to further check with their airline for any restrictions so that that the travel is hassle free.

Advisory

As per the current DGR requirements power bank is not permissible to be carried in Check In baggage.
The BCAS (Bureau of Civil Aviation Security) have come out with an advisory declaring locally made Power bank as prohibited item not permissible for carriage on person, hand baggage and Check-In baggage, and air cargo consignment. Therefore air passengers are advised not to carry with them such locally made power bank during the journey.

Banned Items

Items such as the following will not be permitted to be carried on person / in cabin baggage or in registered baggage while travelling on board our flights. The list given below is not exhaustive and prevailing rules will apply.

Items Which Cannot Be Carried In Hand Baggage

1. Personal Items

Lighters, Scissors-metal with pointed tips, Realistic replica of toy weapon.

2. Sharp Objects

Box Cutters, Ice Axes/Ice Picks, Knives (any length and type except round-bladed, butter, and plastic cutlery), Meat Cleavers, Razor-type blades such as box cutters, utility knives, razor blades not in a cartridge, but excluding safety razors, Sabres, Sword

3. Sporting Goods

Baseball Bats, Bows and Arrows, Cricket Bats, Golf Clubs, Hockey Sticks, Lacrosse Sticks, Pool Cues, Ski Poles, Spear Guns.

4. Guns and Firearm

Ammunition, BB guns, Compressed Air Guns, Firearms, Parts of Guns and Firearms, Pellet Guns, Realistic Replicas of Firearms, Starter pistols.

5. Tools

Axes and hatchets, Cattle Prods, Crowbars, Hammers, Drills (including cordless portables power drills), Saws (including cordless portable power saws), Screwdrivers (except those in eyeglass repair kits), Tools (including but not limited to wrenches and pliers), Wrenches and Pliers.

6. Martial Arts/Self Defense Items

Billy Clubs, Black Jacks, Brass Knuckles, Kubatons, Mace/Pepper Spray, Martial Arts Weapons, Night Sticks, Nunchakus, Martial Arts/Self Defense Items, Stun Guns/Shocking Devices, Throwing Stars
